St Michael’s Hospital is in Hayle and provides a range of specialist services including surgery for breast and orthopaedic patients with two recovery wards, x-ray facilities, outpatient clinics and therapies. At the Hayle site there is also Marie Therese House which is a specialist neurology rehabilitation centre.

Car parking and public transport
Parking at St Michael’s Hospital
Car parking for patients and visitors at St. Michael’s Hospital is accessed via the Trelissick Road entrance. Parking for Marie Therese House is via the Foundry Hill entrance. There are disabled spaces in both car parks and there is a drop off point outside the main entrance to St Michael’s Hospital if you are not stopping.
They are pay and display car parks, run by QPark Limited. They can be contacted on 01872 272834 / 07795 371620. Remember to make a note of what time your ticket expires and, of course, only use a disabled space if you’re displaying a Blue Badge.

Facilities at St Michael’s Hospital
There is no pharmacy at St Michael’s Hospital.
There are a limited number of portable TVs available on the wards, as well as the dayrooms for patients and visitors.
Laptops, mobile phones and other electronic devices
You can use these in the hospitals, however they can be disruptive for other patients on the wards so we ask that you are respectful, use headphones if possible and switch them off if a member of staff asks you to,
They can sometimes interfere with medical equipment, so if you are asked to switch them off by one of our staff, please do so straight away.
There is free wifi access available throughout the hospital. Please ask a member of staff for information about how to connect.
Shops and refreshments
League of Friends Refreshment Bar serves a range of snacks and drinks and and the League of Friends trolley shop regularly visits the wards.
The Confectionery Bar in the waiting room sells snacks, basic toiletries and tissues etc.
If you’re a patient, remember to check with a doctor or nurse if you’re on a special diet and thinking of using the dining rooms or buying a snack.
The General Office provides a front-line cash service and a point of contact for patients who are eligible to claim travel expenses for hospital appointments.

Help patients that qualify for travel reimbursements. We can advice whether patients are in receipt of the relevant benefits and provide advice on the methods of transport that can be reimbursed in full.
Receive payments for invoices and donations to any of the hospital’s wards or departments.
