Covid 19 Staff Thank You Prize – Draw Three

Draw three of the Royal Cornwall Hospitals Charity Covid 19 Staff Thank You Prize Draw.
Another 10 lucky winners were drawn at random to receive prizes purchased from local businesses that have been supportive of our NHS teams over the past few months. We just wish we could give everyone nominated a prize!

Nominations are now open for the next draw which will take place on the 29th July.

Winners and their prizes this week, drawn at random with just a few of the reasons colleagues were nominated for making a difference…

Theatre Dept Staff – Tehidy Holidays, 3 night break up to 4 people

Dr Grant Stewart – Gwel an Mor, 1 night stay for 2

“Dr Stewart has been caring and co-ordinating care for my Mum during her radiotherapy, palliative chemotherapy and immunotherapy. From the outset he has treated her with kindness and compassion and as an individual. During appointments (before COVID) he actively listens and answers all of her questions with professional expertise, patience and clarity.

Since COVID Dr Stewart has taken the time to phone my Mum as soon as scan or clinical results were available rather than waiting for telephone appointments. This has been so reassuring and spared her (and our family) so much anxiety- thank you Dr Stewart.”

Karen Bowers – The Vic Inn – Meal for 4 delivered

Natasha McLoughlin – The Vic Inn – Meal for 4 delivered

Mark Richards – Green Bank Hotel, Bottomless Brunch for 2

“One word for Mark is legend! Mark has stood shoulder to shoulder with all of us as well as patients and relatives. He has emotionally ‘picked up’ countless people and teams. Mark has been a rock and he has been a key part of our daily briefings really helping to keep us all grounded. I can’t thank Mark enough for all he has done.”

Lorna Booker – Gwel an Mor Leisure Pass for 2

Anola Daniel – Camel Creek – Family Day Pass

Nikki Brown – Seasalt £20 voucher

Marissa Heyman – Baker Tom’s £10 Voucher

“Marissa goes the extra mile to make both patients and staff feel cared for. She never puts herself first, humbly does whatever is needed and always remains positive. As a colleague she is supportive and kind. Marissa is the perfect example of Trust values – brilliant in every way – and it’s about time she got the praise and acknowledgement she deserves.”

Sally Brown – Baker Tom’s £10 Voucher

“She’s has helped move and reorganise and reorder St Mawes to SAL, Pendennis to Eden and back again plus and additional move. She gets everything in order and makes sure everything runs smoothly and makes sure we have everything we need in a logical order. She keeps going through thick and thin without complaint. She is one in a million.”
