Doctors and emergency medicine consultants from the RCHT join RNLI lifeboat volunteers as part of ‘Remote and Restorative’ training exercise

As part of a Remote and Restorative course for the RCHT, 30 doctors and 4 faculty, including emergency medicine consultants from the Royal Cornwall Hospitals NHS Trust, took part in an exercise involving a launch of RNLI lifeboat, Rose. The lifeboat proceeded to Coverack, where it was met by the doctors, who were on kayaks, ready to take part in this on-the-water training exercise.

A team of researchers has published findings that show mutations in non-small cell lung and pancreatic cancers can be rapidly and effectively detected by carrying out testing on smaller tissue samples than those taken in current practice.
