Three trainees from the Royal Cornwall Hospitals NHS Trust have been awarded regional awards at this year’s MAFTAs (Medical Awards for Training Achievements.)

Ysella Lees is currently finishing her MA in Professional Writing at Falmouth University. In addition to her studies, Ysella has been picking up shifts through Kernowflex at the Royal Cornwall Hospitals NHS Trust.
As part of a Remote and Restorative course for the RCHT, 30 doctors and 4 faculty, including emergency medicine consultants from the Royal Cornwall Hospitals NHS Trust, took part in an exercise involving a launch of RNLI lifeboat, Rose. The lifeboat proceeded to Coverack, where it was met by the doctors, who were on kayaks, ready to take part in this on-the-water training exercise.
