New service to support parents to stop smoking during pregnancy and beyond

The NHS recently set out a national ambition to halve this rate as set out in the “Saving Babies Lives Care Bundle” with an ambition of achieving a smoking in pregnancy rate of 6%. In Cornwall our rate is currently around 15%, far too high.

Royal recognition as HRH The Princess Royal visits maternity services at Royal Cornwall Hospital

HRH The Princess Royal who is a patron of the Royal College of Midwives (RCM) met with midwives, maternity support workers (MSWs), student midwives and other members of staff at The Princess Alexandra Maternity Wing on Friday (26th July), for royal recognition of the work carried out to improve the unit.
