Harry Dalton

Consultant Gastroenterologist at Royal Cornwall Hospital since 1994. With a one year sabbatical in New Zealand in 2005 as Hon Associate Professor in Clinical Medicine at the University of Auckland. I have 17 years experience of dealing with all aspects of Gastroenterology, and implemented and still runs the rapid access jaundice hotline clinic.

Endoscopic expertise: upper GI endoscopy, colonoscopy, flexible sigmoidoscopy, enteroscopy, capsule endoscopy, ERCP.

I have a research interest in hepatitis E and unexplained hepatitis. I am a Senior Lecturer at the Peninsula College of Medicine and Dentistry and an associate member of the European Centre for Environment and Human Health.

I have written over 60 peer reviewed papers, some of which have been published in ‘high impact’ journals including Lancet, Annals of Internal Medicine and New England Journal of Meidicine.

I am an expert panel member of the World Health Organisation’s Global Burden of Disease project.
