Completed my Trauma & Orthopaedics training (CCT) through the prestigious Percivall Pott Orthopaedic Rotation based at St Bartholomew’s Hospital, London.
Upon completion of my fellowships I was appointed as a Knee Consultant at the Royal Cornwall Hospital with a special interest in joint preservation surgery, primary joint arthroplasty and paediatric knee pathology.
My operation portfolio consists of all trauma work with a focus on multi-ligament injuries and complex fractures around the knee. Electively I undertake both arthroscopic and arthroplasty knee surgery.
Some of the procedures I offer are: meniscus repair/ augmentation/ transplantation, Cartilage biologic/ synthetic repair and resurfacing, ligament reconstruction/ repair/ augmentation, patellofemoral joint stabilisation, joint off-loading (Atlas Kinespring)/ knee osteotomy, compartmental arthroplasty and total knee replacement.
During my training I undertook and completed both a Doctorate (M.D.) in Knee Pathology, titled Meniscectomy & Osteoarthritis, and a postgraduate Master of Philosophy (MPhil) degree in Medical Law & Ethics.
I maintain an active interest in research with ongoing national and international collaborations as well as teaching (academic tutor). Currently the Trust’s Consent and Knee Pathway Lead.
