Dr Pittaway graduated from the University of Birmingham Medical School in 2002. Having originally entered surgical training and following brushes with numerous other specialties, he found his calling to anaesthesia in 2007. He did the bulk of his training in the West Midlands, but has spent time working in both New Zealand and Australia to broaden his horizons.
Dr Pittaway’s specialist fields are Obstetric and Vascular Anaesthesia. He briefly worked as a locum consultant in University Hospital North Staffordshire before starting at Royal Cornwall Hospitals Trust in October 2017.
