Trained at the University of Cambridge with subsequent SHO and Registrar training in London.
Completed a PhD looking at blood transcriptional signatures in tuberculosis with Dr Anne O’Garra FRS at the MRC National Institute for Medical Research in 2009, which led to a first author paper in Nature.

Started as a Consultant in Respiratory and General Medicine at Imperial College Healthcare NHS trust in 2010 and was Head of Specialty for Respiratory, Allergy, Immunology and Respiratory Physiology from 2014-2018.
Joined RCHT in March 2019.
