I am a substantive Consultant in Trauma and Orthopaedics. Employed by the Army and work at the Royal Cornwall Hospital in Truro and St Michael’s Hospital in Hayle. I am a Foot and Ankle and Trauma Specialist but maintain an interest in knee surgery, knee replacement surgery and sports injuries in professional athletes.
Since my appointment in 2009 I have been heavily involved in the local training programme. I am the current Training Programme Director for Trauma and Orthopaedics in the Peninsula Deanery and now lead the Regional Training Committee. I am an invited lecturer at regional and national meetings, including at pan-speciality meetings and specialist anaesthetic societies.
I have a very strong interest in Trauma and particularly lower limb trauma. I aim to offer patients the highest possible standard of advice, surgical care and follow-up. Since taking up my post I have continued to publish and am on the review board for Foot and Ankle Surgery, as well as reviewing articles for Injury, The Knee.
