I am a substantive Consultant in Trauma and Orthopaedics at the Royal Cornwall Hospital in Truro and St Michael’s Hospital in Hayle and have previously served 25 years in the British Army as a military surgeon. I am a Foot and Ankle and Trauma Specialist but maintain an interest in knee surgery, knee replacement surgery and sports injuries in professional athletes.
Currently I am the Clinical Director for Trauma and Orthopaedics, St Michael’s Hospital and Marie Therese House.
Since my appointment in 2009 I have been heavily involved in the local training programme. I am a FRCS examiner for the Royal College of Surgeons of England am an invited lecturer at regional and national meetings.
I have a very strong interest in Trauma and particularly lower limb trauma. I aim to offer patients the highest possible standard of advice, surgical care and follow-up. Since taking up my post I have continued to publish and am on the review board for Foot and Ankle Surgery, as well as reviewing articles for Injury and The Knee.
