I graduated from Edinburgh University in 1991 and undertook my basic surgical training within Edinburgh and also the West of Scotland. Following this in 1994 I began my formal orthopaedic training, which culminated in my speciality (Consultant) exams in Edinburgh 2001.
After my exam I spent a year in Canada in the Orthopaedic and Arthritic Institute, Toronto carrying out a fellowship in lower limb arthroplasty (knee and hip replacements) and knee ligament surgery including sports medicine.
I came down to Cornwall at the end of 2002 and have been a Consultant with an interest in lower limb (knees and hips) since that time.
My main interest is primary and revision total knee replacement (including minimally invasive surgery) and I also carry out primary hip replacement and knee arthroscopy.
