I qualified as a doctor in 1999 at the University College London Medical School. I completed my specialist training in oncology and became a consultant at the Royal Cornwall Hospital in August 2004 where I specialise in sarcoma, skin and thoracic cancers. I have a particular interest in melanoma and have driven the clinical trial portfolio to make Cornwall a major centre for melanoma research. I am national chief investigator on two major clinical trials and principal investigator on a further 15.
