Neonatal Unit at RCH delighted to receive pictures from a local artist

The Neonatal Unit at RCH was delighted to receive pictures from a local artist from St Ives and her 15 year old son, who was on the unit for 6 weeks when he was a baby.
Emma Jeffryes and her son, Sunny donated a large original painting, which can be seen in the picture, called ‘Spring is in the Air’, as well as several other large prints which will be used to decorate the walls of the parents bedrooms in the unit, as well as other areas within Neonatal.

On the back of the painting Emma wrote, ‘To all the wonderful people at the Special Care Baby Unit (Neonatal Unit) – Thanks for being so amazing in our time of need. Special babies, special parents and very special Nurses and Doctors’

Rachel Bailey, Neonatal Sister was delighted to accept these paintings and explained what they will add to the unit. “We are so grateful for these beautiful pictures that Emma has donated to us” Rachel stated. They will help to decorate the rooms to achieve a more homely environment for parents who have a baby on the Neonatal Unit.”
