Royal Cornwall Hospitals NHS Trust joins fight against Coronavirus in ground-breaking new study

RCHT has joined the fight against Coronavirus by recruiting COVID-19 patients to participate in a ground-breaking new study of the disease performed by the partnership between the GenOMICC Study Consortium (led by the University of Edinburgh) and Genomics England. The study, announced by the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, Matt Hancock, on 13th May will help us better understand the virus’ varied effects on people and support the search for treatments.

Lockdown recording brings choir together to support hospital colleagues

In October 2016 the Royal Cornwall Hospital Choir held a 24-hour Singathon to support the Trust’s Birth And Baby Appeal. As a finale to this event, a friend of the choir wrote some new words for a well-known tune.
