The Dental Education Facility provides a first class environment for the provision of treatment and education. Care is available free of charge from dental students under the supervision of qualified local dentists. NHS patients who are happy to be treated by a supervised dental student are welcome and can telephone the call centre on 0845 155 8109 for further information.
Alongside the educational activities, the European Centre for Environment & Human Health represents part of the University of Exeter Medical School’s research. They focus on the interconnection between the natural environment and human health.
The Knowledge Spa has a cafe with a selection of snacks, sandwiches, and hot and cold drinks. It’s open Monday to Friday from 8am to 3pm.
The Knowledge Spa has a variety of different rooms which are available for hire. It is a highly attractive venue for hosting conferences, meetings, events, functions and exhibitions and we are able to accommodate meetings ranging from six to 150 people.
Whether you want to arrange a formal training session in a classroom setting, Board Room style meeting, a quick catch up or require a large area for display, you will find a room that suits your requirements.
We are situated on the Royal Cornwall Hospital site, close to the A30, and on the Truro park and ride route to/from Truro city centre, with a bus stop right outside our front door!
All our seminar and meetings rooms have access to data projector, PC with internet access and flip-chart. Use of this equipment is included in our room hire rates.
The Knowledge Spa works in conjunction with the Royal Cornwall Hospital’s Catering Provider, Mitie to provide high quality functions for any occasion.

Rooms can be booked up to four weeks in advance but you require a minimum number of six delegates to be able to book a room. Please remember that members of staff are not permitted to book rooms on behalf of any other external organisations, and if sponsorship is received or delegates are being charged to attend, room hire and external catering prices will apply. You must tell us about this when you book.
All rooms are available in ‘lecture theatre’ style set up. We’ll apply a charge if you need additional equipment or the set up of the room to be changed.
Rooms can be booked up to four weeks in advance unless otherwise agreed directly with the department. Please see below a link to a site plan showing the location and a photo of the meeting rooms available, plus a summary sheet detailing the opening hours, capacity, equipment and accessibility of the rooms.
These rooms are purely for the use of staff and should not be booked on behalf of any other organisations.
