The majority of operations we carry out are undertaken as day cases in the oral surgery day surgery unit at the Royal Cornwall Hospital.
The Royal Cornwall Hospital Oral Maxillofacial and Orthodontic service consists of inpatient and outpatient facilities. The inpatient ward known as Kynance Ward admits patients with a variety of surgical, trauma and cancer related conditions. The outpatient/day-case unit consists of a general anaesthetic operating theatre suite and capacity for 8 outpatient/ treatment clinics. The department incorporates a dental laboratory and a X-ray/Oral CT scanning room.
We offer a comprehensive range of treatments and procedures carried out by our very skilled and experienced team. Our Multi-disciplinary team consists of Consultants, Staff grade and junior doctors, Orthodontists, Orthodontic therapists, registered staff nurses, Specialist Dental Nurses, Dental technologists and administrative staff.
