We have a team of around 100 people, who dispense between 1,500 and 2,000 prescriptions every day for both inpatients and outpatients.
It is our job to make sure medicines provided are of the highest quality, available when needed, and used safely and effectively. Our pharmacists and technicians regularly visit wards to advise on safe and effective prescribing.
We also provide information and support so that our patients are fully informed about their medication and know how to take their medicines correctly.
For inpatients, we take a detailed medication history when they are admitted so that we can prescribe the most appropriate medicines. We also offer a one-stop dispensing and prescription tracking to facilitate early discharge.
Please speak to a member of our pharmacy team if you have any concerns or questions.
