The two wards closed after damage caused in one of of the buildings at the Royal Cornwall Hospital at Treliske on Thursday have re-opened.
Cornwall’s Health and Care teams worked together to maintain services and deeply appreciate the support they were given at a critical time by the people of Cornwall when there was increased pressure on services.
However, August is a particularly busy time in the county and people are still asked to avoid coming to the emergency department at Treliske or calling 999 unless there is a life threatening condition.
In the first instance they are asked to contact their own GP for medical advice or treatment or use the 111 service online or by phone.
