Wellington is a specialist respiratory
ward where we look after patients with acute and chronic respiratory conditions. We have six higher care beds for patients requiring non-invasive ventilation or a higher level of care.
We run a number of clinics on the ward for our patients with conditions like Cystic Fibrosis, Bronchiectasis and Asthma. We also hold a relatives’ surgery every Wednesday at 3pm, when the ward sister and deputy ward sisters are available for you to drop in and ask questions. We can arrange another time for you to see them if that is more convenient for you.
The ward team work closely with specialist respiratory nurses within the hospital and out in the community. You can contact our outpatient respiratory nurses, Ruth Holding and Julie Jephson, on 01872 252640.
