Wheal Rose is an antenatal ward.
Wheal Rose provides multi-specialist and individualised care for women admitted to hospital during their pregnancy because of problems or complications. Women requiring an Induction of labour are also admitted here to commence the induction process. Within Wheal Rose is also the Day Assessment Unit.

Important Visiting RestrictionsDue to the Covid pandemic, restrictions have been made to the usual visiting times and rules listed below. Please view our Covid Visiting restrictions.

Visiting Wheal Rose Ward

Visiting for partners is 10am-10pm daily with the option to have another adult visitor if desired 4pm-5pm. Visitors are asked to not attend if they have any symptoms of covid 19, if they are unwell, or if they have recently tested positive for Covid 19. (Please see visiting restrictions – visiting times will be reviewed again after the pandemic).

Visiting outside these times can be discussed with the nurse or midwife in charge. See our Visiting Policy.

Directions to Wheal Rose Ward

Wheal Rose Ward is at the Royal Cornwall Hospital in Treliske in Truro. When you arrive at the hospital, follow the signs to the Princess Alexandra Wing. Wheal Rose Ward is on the ground floor.
