Wheal Rose ward is a combined Antenatal and Postnatal Ward.
Antenatal beds are for women with complex or emergency needs that require support or care from the medical team, women who are having their labour induced and any other circumstances that may require a hospital stay prior to birth. Postnatal care is given for women who are only requiring a short stay in hospital, these could be women having had an elective caesarean section or women who require support with babies first feed.
